Parents, separating or separated couples and grandparents who don’t have the resources, support or safety to deal with the issue without assistance
Victim-survivors of domestic and family violence, especially those who have been misidentified by police as the respondent or who have experienced coercive controlling DFV
People who use domestic and family violence behaviours
Preparing for family court proceedings or with no court matter
Greater Brisbane Region

Information, legal advice, drafting court forms and documents, negotiations, representation in court (where resources permit)
Very urgent family law assistance where there is DFV to start court proceedings or before the day of court
Parenting, small property pools, spousal maintenance, divorce, grandparent rights (not child support)
Assistance with legal aid eligibility and completing forms
Referrals to our Domestic Violence Duty Lawyer Service for respondents in the Brisbane Magistrates (Domestic Violence Court) Monday to Thursday
Referrals to our Family Advocacy and Support Service providing duty lawyer, social support and men’s support to in the Family Court (Brisbane) and other Family Courts Qld-wide
Referrals to our Court Plus for Men service providing case managed supports to men using violence
Consultation on legal and system reforms
