Volunteer lawyer Stephen Keim (in dark grey suit) with supporters at the launch of Caxton’s first Legal Resources Book (LRB). The publication later became the Queensland Law Handbook (QLH) which now draws an average of 800 monthly visitors to its website.
The Baroona Hall on Caxton Street, Paddington was where the Baroona Legal Service (later called Caxton Street Legal Service) was established by volunteer lawyers, socials workers, and other supporters.
Caxton moved to Heal Street in 1987 when the Queensland Law Society (QLS) purchased the building to be used as Caxton’s new office. After many years, the ownership of the building was transferred to Caxton.
