Provides case managed supports to men who use violence to be accountable for and reduce the risks of DFV behaviours

Who It Helps

  • Men using violence, abuse and coercion within intimate, family or informal care relationships (there does not need to be a DVO in place)
  • Greater Brisbane Region

What We Provide

  • Social work case management supports
  • Individualised plans addressing goals related to DFV behaviour change and related issues including substance misuse, mental health, homelessness, adverse childhood histories and trauma
  • Ensure men understand how to give practical effect to the conditions of their DFV order and have strategies to avoid breaching them
  • Give tools to the men to explore their belief systems and help them work towards recovery and healing for the aggrieved parties and their family units 
  • For related family law issues, referrals to our Families and Domestic Violence Legal Service and our court-based Family Advocacy and Support Service at the Brisbane Family Court
