Tasneem is a Social Worker at Caxton Legal Centre, working within the Seniors Legal and Support Service (SLASS). She provides trauma-informed, client-centred support to older people experiencing or at risk of elder abuse. Her drive to make a positive difference is rooted in social justice and a human rights framework, with a practice grounded in advocacy, trauma-informed care, and rights-based practice.
Before joining Caxton Legal Centre, Tasneem gained experience in community engagement, youth policy advocacy, migrant and refugee support, and alcohol and other drugs (AOD) counselling.
Tasneem is passionate about empowering clients through compassionate, strengths-based practice and values collaborative, holistic approaches that promote safety, dignity, and self-determination. Beyond her professional role, she is drawn to creative pursuits; capturing moments through her camera lens, and expressing herself through spoken-word poetry.
