Stella is Caxton’s Senior Social Worker in the Seniors Legal and Support Service (SLASS) team, with a focus on elder abuse.
She brings over seven years of experience in community services and hospital settings, including previous work as a support coordinator with Dementia Australia. Stella provides integrated social support, advocacy, and counselling to older clients facing complex legal and social challenges — from housing instability and mental health issues to domestic and family violence.
Colleagues describe her as calm, compassionate, and tenacious in her advocacy. Known for her client-centred approach and trauma-informed practice, she supports disadvantaged individuals through legal processes, prepares psychosocial reports for clients, and ensures clients are linked with support services that address the root causes of their legal concerns.
Driven by a strong sense of justice and dignity for older people, Stella is passionate about empowering clients to have a voice, regain control, and feel safe in the later stages of life.
