Sharon is a lawyer with Caxton’s Queensland Retirement Village and Park Advice Service (QRVPAS), specialising in community legal education. She advises clients living in over-50s residential communities or retirement villages, helping them understand their rights under legislation and contract, to empower them to resolve disputes with operators.
Before joining Caxton in 2023, Sharon worked as a nurse and in the pharmaceutical industry before completing her law qualifications. She has lived in various states of Australia, England, Fiji, and New Zealand (volunteering at a community legal centre). Her diverse background strengthens her ability to support and advocate for retirees.
Sharon is passionate about protecting older Australians from exploitation and ensuring they receive respect and fairness when entering these so-called “resort lifestyle” residential communities.
