Phil is a Legal Practice Director with responsibility for Financial Rights, Housing Rights and Workers’ Rights. He joined Caxton in 2025 after 20 years with the Queensland Government, mostly in policy roles across a range of departments.
Prior to that he worked as a solicitor in general practice and at the Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander Legal Service (ATSILS). He was volunteering at Caxton throughout that time, having started initially while still a student.
He also has many years’ experience in voluntary community development and advocacy roles.
