Jade Trautner

Paralegal

Jade is a Paralegal in the Public Law team. Originally from Ireland, Jade moved to Australia in 2012 and spent several years working across blue-collar industries in the Northern Territory. That experience highlighted stark power differentials and other human concerns in remote and industrial settings, motivating a transition into law focused on preserving human rights and empowering people who feel unheard and underrepresented.

Over nearly four years in the legal sector, Jade has built broad experience spanning across construction and personal injury before finding a professional home in public and human rights law. At Caxton, she supports clients through trauma-informed, practical assistance and clear, rights-based advocacy. When she manages to carve out rare time for herself, she loves being at home with her dogs, cooking, reading a good book and getting out into nature to reset.
