Helen has 40+ years’ experience working in human services delivery, social policy and planning, and community development in large and small government and non-government entities.
Since joining Caxon Legal Centre in 2015, Helen’s social work role includes direct service delivery to older Australians experiencing abuse using a lawyer–social worker model where human rights, protection and autonomy are key considerations. She also leads the Social Work Practice at Caxton.
Helen collaborates across sectors to promote social justice and address social inequality. She serves as a director of Elder Abuse Action Australia and a management committee member of Community Legal Centres Queensland.
