Colette is a Legal Practice Director, providing strategic oversight of Caxton’s work in elder abuse, domestic and family violence, and family law. She leads multidisciplinary programs grounded in a human rights-based approach, including elder abuse health justice partnerships across Greater Brisbane.
Colette joined Caxton in 2015, having previously worked at the Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander Legal Service (ATSILS) and in private practice. She is a member of the Queensland Law Society Domestic and Family Violence Committee.
At the heart of her work is a commitment to ensuring that every client feels heard, understood and supported to exercise their rights. She has a particular passion for improving access to justice and advancing equity and inclusion for people experiencing intersecting forms of disadvantage.
