Ada is a Senior Lawyer in the Human Rights and Civil Law Practice, leading the Multicultural Advocacy and Legal Service (MALS) program – a health justice partnership between Caxton and World Wellness Group (WWG).
Through this integrated service partnership model, Ada supports culturally and linguistically diverse people living with mental health conditions who face barriers to accessing justice in Greater Brisbane., D he provides generalist legal services grounded in a human rights framework, working closely with doctors, psychologists, and social workers to address complex client needs. Her practice spans employment, anti-discrimination, consumer credit and debt, family law, domestic violence, and victim’s rights.
She joined Caxton in 2023 after several years with LawRight, where she worked across services in the Federal Courts (General Division), the Mental Health Review Tribunal, and the Mater Hospital. Originally from Papua New Guinea, her lived experience and community upbringing have shaped her strong commitment to equity and culturally responsive legal practice. In 2024, Ada was recognised as a finalist in the Women in Law Awards (Not-for-Profit Lawyer of the Year) for her collaborative, multidisciplinary approach to legal practice and her commitment to advancing access to justice for diverse communities.
