Merry Christmas and Happy New Year from Caxton Legal Centre

2018 has been another huge year for Caxton Legal Centre – we’ve witnessed the introduction of a Human Rights Bill in Queensland, used drama to educate at the 2018 National Elder Abuse Conference and welcomed new faces to some of the key positions in our organisation.

As the year ends Caxton staff and management committee wish to express thanks to all those who have provided support over the year.  Volunteer students and lawyers, the universities and nonprofits we partner with, government funding bodies and pro bono counsel all play a critical role in making sure people who are disadvantaged or on a low income can talk to someone to receive legal advice.

We hope that the break is time to reflect, relax and celebrate and we wish everyone the very best Christmas and New Year.  We look forward to recharging our batteries and coming back in 2019 ready for more work towards access to justice.

Caxton will close our doors at 4:30pm on Friday 21 December, 2018 and reopen at 9am on Wednesday January 2, 2019.
