Gareth Walters, a lawyer in Caxton's Family and Elder Law teamGareth is a lawyer in the Family, Domestic Violence & Elder Law Practice at Caxton Legal Centre.

Gareth joined Caxton in 2016, prior to which he worked both as a family lawyer in private practice and as a judge’s associate.

Gareth regularly acts as duty lawyer assisting people with family law and domestic violence matters at the Federal Circuit Court of Australia and in the Brisbane Magistrates Court. Gareth also coordinates one of Caxton’s evening legal advice sessions, working with students and volunteer lawyers to provide advice to clients.

Gareth sits on the Queensland Law Society’s Family Law Committee, and he holds a Bachelor of Business in addition to a Bachelor of Laws.
