Mark is a late-onset lawyer who began studying law in the mid-1990s, graduating in 1998.  While still an undergraduate, Mark worked as a volunteer on Wednesdays under Ros Williams’s excellent supervision.  He is currently a Senior Lecturer in Law at Queensland University of Technology, teaching Legal Ethics and Administrative Law, and writing mainly in the field of law and literature. He is the co-author of three books:  Legal Theories: Contexts and Practices (with Marett Leiboff), Professional Responsibility and Legal Ethics in Queensland (with Stephen Corones and Nigel Stobbs) and The Art of Mooting (with Lucy Cradduck).

Mark has been on the Management Committee since the late 1990s, and is the immediate past-president, having served in that role for 16 years.
